Job summary

La Fontana Care Home, located near Martock, is hiring a Care Assistant. The role involves supporting residents with daily living, personal care, mobility and wellbeing, following care plans. Full training is provided; weekend shifts are required on alternate weekends.

Applications from both experienced carers and newcomers are welcome. We offer 5.6 weeks annual leave for full-time staff, paid DBS pension and a uniform.

Job description

La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is nestled on the outskirts of Martock, surrounded by the stunning Somerset countryside. This innovative, purpose-built home provides specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.00 per hour
• Full & Part Time hours available
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidadtes will be required to work alternate weekends.
