Job summary

Immacolata House Care Home in Langport is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver person-centred dementia and nursing support. You will assist residents with daily living, mobility, nutrition and wellbeing under established care plans.

You will join a supportive team with full training and ongoing development. The role offers £13.00 per hour, 0-46 hours per week, paid DBS check, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks annual leave, with weekend work required on a rota basis.

Job description

Immacolata House Dementia Nursing Home in Langport is surrounded by the picturesque Somerset countryside. This purpose-built home offers exceptional Dementia and Nursing care for up to 49 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.00 per hour
• Contracted to 0-46 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
