Job summary

Care Concern Group is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Valarian Court Care Home in Didcot, Oxfordshire. You will support residents with daily living, follow care plans and contribute to a warm, respectful environment where dignity and wellbeing are priorities.

The role welcomes both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training and ongoing development provided. Weekend work is required on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow individual care plans and recognise changes in condition to provide safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care and maintain dignity and independence for residents.
• Be available for alternate weekend shifts as required.

Job description

Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire, our newly-built care home offers exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 70-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.52 per hour
• Full & part time hours available
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
