Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking a Care Assistant in Lockerbie to join a care home on the outskirts of Dumfries. You will oversee and maintain the care of service users and assist the Home Manager and senior staff in daily operations.

The role is permanent with 22-44 hours per week, day or night shifts. Competitive pay (£13.45/hr, up to £30,773.60/yr) and good staff benefits are offered, along with strong transport links and on-site parking.

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant you will oversee and maintain the care of the service users, and support the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Carers with the general running of the service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Caring and empathetic nature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high standards of care
• Hold a Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential)
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience in care or willingness to learn acceptable
