Job summary

Healthcare Homes Group is seeking a dedicated care assistant for Handford House in Ipswich. You will support residents with daily personal care and provide companionship within a warm, safe home environment.

The role includes helping with everyday activities, documenting care and forming meaningful interactions with residents, under the guidance of a well-established team. Training and development opportunities are available.

Working Hours

• 44 hours per week (includes alternate weekends) Days Shifts - 8am to 8pm
• 48 hours per week (includes alternate weekends) Night Shifts - 8pm to 8am

About Handford House

Handford House provides a high standard of holistic nursing care provision to each individual living and staying at the home at all times. The home offers a warm, friendly, comfortable and safe environment, and we promote and support personal choices and individual care at all times. With 52 bedrooms arranged across two floors, this care home in Ipswich provides dedicated accommodation alongside a range of communal spaces for residents.

Typical Day

• Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)
• Providing companionship and offering social interaction
• Maintaining accurate resident records
