Job summary

Orchard Care Homes is seeking a Care Assistant at Paddock Stile Manor Dementia Care Home in Houghton-le-Spring. You will deliver daily personal care, help residents with activities, and ensure meals are served with warmth in a supportive environment.

Salary: £12.21 - £12.46 per hour

Schedule/Hours – Full time 38.5hrs - Days

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Supporting residents in meaningful activities, leisure outings, and appointments
• Serving meals and refreshments with warmth and courtesy
• Maintaining a clean, pleasant, and welcoming environment
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing
• Acting as a key worker for a group of residents, ensuring care is tailored to their individual preferences
• Supporting new team members and contributing to a positive team culture
