Job summary

Bupa UK in Harrogate is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide person-centred care, supporting independence and residents' choices so they can live a life they truly love.

You will work full-time on a rota that includes alternate weekends, delivering compassionate care, documenting changes, and participating in activities to promote wellbeing and engagement.

Care Assistant

Southlands Care Home, 9 Ripon Road, Harrogate HG1 2JA

Salary: £13.30 – £14.30 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience

Permanent contract. Full‑time. Rota will include alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents’ behaviour, documenting and reporting changes in accordance with law.
• Support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink per their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
