Job summary

Chiswick Nursing Centre in London is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support residents with daily activities, personal care and meals, while promoting independence and dignity. You will work as part of a friendly team in a busy, rewarding environment.

Care Assistant

Care Assistants at Chiswick Nursing Centre come from all walks of life. Many have no, or minimal, experience, but are keen to join in a caring role. If you are adaptable, friendly, polite and caring and enjoy working as a team with people from different cultures and backgrounds then we could have just the role for you.

As a Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of making a difference to our residents. It means helping residents to remain as active and independent as possible while respecting their rights of choice, privacy and dignity. It also means having fun and laughter with them and help them deal with day-to-day difficulties like personal care and mealtimes. You will be working as part of a dedicating team to deliver a person-centred care.

What you’ll need

Experience of caring for others would be useful, not necessarily in a paid role – you may have looked after an elderly relative or friend. You must be of a kind-hearted nature, belief in teamwork and have the ability to use your initiative and imagination and able to follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload. You’ll be comfortable talking to and working with people from different professions. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard but also rewarding.
