Job Description

What you'll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. For this role, you must have experience in looking after clients with PEG feeds. We care for and support people of all ages, in the community and their homes, with conditions such as Spinal Cord injury, Muscular dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and many other complex needs. Every day will be different, presenting new challenges. You’ll be making your clients’ days brighter while developing your skills and knowledge.

The client is a gentleman in his early 60s who has a spinal injury. Your daily responsibilities will include monitoring his clinical needs, such as:

• Managing daily suctioning and manual cough assist
• Managing non-invasive ventilation via Cpap
• Managing bowel care, including manual evacuation
• Performing personal care when required

Qualifications

What you'll need

Experience in adult healthcare with the following requirements is necessary before being offered this position:

• Experience with suction machines
• Experience with catheter care and bowel management
• Experience with administering medication
