Job summary

Northcare Scotland in Glasgow is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join Northcare Residences. You will provide high-quality support to residents, aiding with personal care, meals, mobility, and daily activities in a welcoming team.

The role offers permanent, full-time hours with rotas over two weeks, weekend and holiday flexibility, and a competitive hourly rate of £13.45. Full training is provided, and evidence of right-to-work in the UK is required.

Job Description – Health Care Assistant
Location: Northcare Residences Glasgow, Clarkston
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Hours: Full-time rotas available - 7 shifts across 2 week period. Dayshift and Nightshift
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our team and provide high-quality support to individuals in Northcare Residences. At Northcare, you are more than a care worker. About the Role

As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support to residents
  • Assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
  • Supporting residents with meals and hydration
  • Offering companionship and emotional support
  • Promoting residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Assisting residents with daily activities and social engagement
  • Working closely with senior carers and healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns appropriately

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced care environment
  • Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays where required
