Job summary

Devon County Council in Exeter is seeking Care Assistants to join our Adult Social Care division as a flexible bank worker, providing essential care to service users across shifts. Full training will be provided and there are opportunities for professional development.

Shifts run 07:30–14:30, 14:30–22:00 or 22:00–07:00; 2 posts are available for ad hoc cover due to annual leave and sickness. Surrey? (Note: UK Right to Work is required.)

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work flexibly and undertake relevant training.
• NVQ2 in Care or equivalent (not essential).
• Experience in a health or social care setting (not essential).
• Basic food hygiene certificate (not essential).

• Hourly rate starting at £13.92 per hour, rising to £14.14 per hour after 2 increments. In addition, Saturday hours are paid at time and a half and Sunday hours at double time.
• There are currently 2 posts available to join our temp bank to provide ad hoc cover for annual leave and sickness.
• Shifts timings are 0730-1430, 1430-2200 or 2200-0700.
• Full training for the role will be provided.
