Job summary

CCH Group, via Advantage Healthcare, is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to provide overnight care for a child with complex needs in Peacehaven, near Brighton. The role includes tracheostomy monitoring, suctioning, PEG feeding, and medication administration, with full training and clinical support provided.

Qualifications

• Essential: previous experience caring for service users with tracheostomies.
• Experience with PEG feeding and medication administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight support to a child with complex care needs, monitoring tracheostomy and suctioning.
• Manage PEG feeds and administer medication as required.
• Potentially work in the Brighton area with similar clinical requirements.

Job Description

Complex Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

Join us as aComplex Care Assistantand develop your skills with full training and ongoing clinical support in areas such as tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, catheter care, moving and handling equipment, and medication administration.

In this role, you’ll provide overnight support to a child with complex care needs, with key responsibilities focused on monitoring their tracheostomy, suctioning, managing PEG feeds and administering medication.

We also have another local paediatric package you may be required to work in the Brighton area with very similar clinical requirements.

Previous experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:

• PEG feeding
• Medication Administration

The only essential requirement for this position is previous experience in caring for service users with tracheostomies.
