Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to provide overnight support for a lady with complex care needs in her family home in Chichester. You will deliver compassionate, person-centred care with a focus on safety and comfort during the night.

Experience in complex care is desirable but not essential; full training and induction are provided, and DBS checks are fully covered. This role offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful difference in home-based care.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is desirable but not essential.
• Hands-on skills with PEG feeding, ventilation, bowel management and med administration are advantageous.
• Ability to perform moving & handling tasks safely and with compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight support for a lady with complex care needs in her family home.
• Deliver personal care, food preparation, medication administration and social/appointment support.
• Maintain a calm, respectful, client-centred approach throughout the night.

Complex Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a patient, compassionate, and reliable individual to provide overnight support for a lady with complex care needs in her family home, delivering calm, respectful, and attentive care to ensure her comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout the night; duties include personal care, food preparation, medication administration, and support with social activities and appointments. The client lives with a supportive, welcoming family in a pet-free home, has a creative personality, and enjoys films, arts and crafts, and hypnotherapy, valuing reassuring, person-centred support. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is genuinely caring, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality home-based care; experience in complex care is desirable, but kindness, patience, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Previous experience in a complex care assistant role is not essential, but experience in the following would be extremely advantageous:
