Job summary

Admirals Reach Care Home in Chelmsford is hiring a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care and mobility. You will follow care plans to ensure safe, dignified and person-centred care, contributing to residents' wellbeing.

The role welcomes experienced carers and newcomers alike, offering full training, ongoing development and a supportive team environment in a 44 hour contract with day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Good communication and teamwork are essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a care setting.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential; NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Admirals Reach Care Home is a 158 bed care home located in a quiet residential area of Chelmsford, Essex. Providing residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, landscaped gardens, comfortable lounges and a strong family atmosphere. Colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week. Bank and part time available as well.
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.
You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
