£13.50 - £15.65 per hour plus 30p mileage

We support service users in the following locations across Hertfordshire.

WORK LOCATION:

Hemel Hempstead, Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Bushey, Berkhamsted, Tring, Markyate, Stevenage, St Albans, Hertsmere. We welcome applications from drivers based in and around the surrounding areas.

Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.00 per hour plus 30p mileage.

Shifts work across seven days a week,

EVENING – 2:00 pm – 10:00/11:00 pm

Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

Our Care Professionals are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet, and support them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.

Helping clients overcome mobility problems and other disabilities, including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.

Assisting with domestic tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.

Supporting personal care activities, including washing, bathing, and toileting.

Helping with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, and assisting with feeding if required.

Assisting with medication administration as per care plans.

  • Providing companionship and preventing loneliness through engaging activities and conversations.
  • Maintaining client dignity and privacy during personal care.
  • Monitoring health and reporting changes to healthcare professionals and family.
  • Encouraging social participation and emotional well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate care records.
  • Ensuring safety and responding to emergencies.
  • Collaborating with care team members and family.
Qualifications

What you'll need:

No previous social care experience necessary! We value your compassion, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. You should have:
