Job summary

Welford Healthcare in Braintree is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care, and companionship. A kind personality and good communication skills are essential, while training is provided to build confidence and qualifications.

You'll join a dedicated team, work flexible hours (days, nights or bank), and contribute to a person-centred care approach that values residents’ independence and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Kind personality; no experience required.
  • Good written and verbal communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and be flexible with shifts.
  • Proficiency with basic IT and electronic devices is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and take part in social and recreational activities for residents.
  • Assist with personal care and mealtimes.
  • Support residents to maintain independence.
  • Get to know residents and their families to provide the best possible care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care activities.

Care Assistant

Hours: Days, Nights or Bank - 22, 33 or 44 per week
Location: Aspen Grange Care Home,Coldnailhurst Ave, Braintree, CM7 5PY
We’re Looking For
  • Full and part-time candidates
  • With compassion and a drive to help others.
  • You’ll need good written/verbal communication and people skills.
  • We like people who work well in a team.
  • Flexibility is important. Team members work alternate weekends.
  • Good IT skills, able to work with electronic devices and/or computer systems.
