Job summary

Larchwood Care Home in Braintree, Essex is hiring a Care Assistant to provide person-centred support to residents, including personal care, mobility and nutrition.

We offer a competitive hourly rate (£14.80–£15.30), contracts of 33 or 44 hours per week, paid Enhanced DBS, uniform, generous annual leave and development opportunities within a supportive team, with full training provided.

About Larchwood Care Home

Larchwood Care Home is a warm and welcoming care home located in Braintree, Essex. Providing residential, dementia and respite care, the home offers a comfortable and supportive environment where Residents can enjoy their own routines, interests and independence. With en suite bedrooms, a café, sensory garden, on site hair salon and a varied activities programme, colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Care Assistant Contract

• £14.80 to £15.30 per hour
• Contracted to 44 or 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
