Job summary

Right at Home Stevenage, Bishop's Stortford and Braintree is seeking compassionate individuals to become Community Care Assistants, helping vulnerable people live happy, independent lives and providing comfort and companionship.

We offer full training, ongoing support, flexible hours including part-time and long-term opportunities, fully paid travel time and mileage, enhanced rates on Bank Holidays, and a private pension scheme. Driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
• Availability for varying hours including mornings, afternoons or evenings.

Responsibilities

• Motivate clients to maximise their day with care and support.
• Provide personal care and assist with washing and dressing.
• Administering medication where required and manage light duties.
• Support with shopping, meals, housekeeping and appointments.

Duties Will Include

• Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day
• Personal care
• Administering medication
• Assisting Clients with washing and dressing
• Shopping
• Housekeeping
• Meal preparation
• Taking Clients for appointments or outings

Requirements Of a Care Assistant

• Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle
• Be able to offer availability either early mornings (from 7am), afternoon (from 2pm) or evening (from 5pm) and every other weekend
• Commit to attending a 3-day training course
• Live locally to Stevenage, Letchworth & Hitchin and surrounding areas
• Have or be willing to obtain business vehicle insurance

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail sales assistant, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, receptionist, administrator, cleaners, warehouse workers and delivery drivers. This could be the start of your new career, with our full support and outstanding training, anything is possible if you put your head and heart into it.
