Job summary

Bupa in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, companionship, and personal care. You will be part of a team delivering high standards of care in a welcoming environment at Queensmount.

The role covers day and night shifts across a 44-hour week, with pay ranging from £13.10 to £14.10 per hour depending on experience. Training and ongoing development are provided as part of our supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • Motivation and positivity required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable: care home experience or Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with companionship and personal care.
  • Observe residents' behaviour and document changes as required.
  • Assist with nutrition and hydration according to care plans.
  • Provide physical and mental stimulation through activities.
  • Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
  • Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
  • Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
  • Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

  • Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
