Job summary

Silverleigh Care Home (part of Care Concern Group) is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant. You will support residents with daily living, assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, and follow care plans to ensure safe and compassionate care.

Full training and ongoing development are provided; alternation weekends required. NVQ2 desirable or willingness to work towards; DBS check and uniform provided. Join a friendly team in Axminster, Devon.

Job description

Silverleigh is a beautiful care home, situated at the heart of a thriving community in a quiet street in the centre of Axminster, Devon. Silverleigh is registered for 65 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.00 per hour
• Contracted to 36-48 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
