Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ACC Clinical Coder to join our Cardiothoracic Coding team on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role combines office and home-based work with initial onboarding in the office.

Band 5 with ACC qualification is preferred, and non-ACC candidates with extensive experience may be considered at Band 4. This fixed-term 12-month post offers valuable specialty development.

Qualifications

• Holds Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification or working towards, with practical coding experience.
• Experience coding with ICD10 and OPCS4 in NHS settings.
• Strong eye for detail, accuracy and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, high-quality clinical coding services and meet coding deadlines.
• Collaborate with clinicians to promote Clinical Coding across the Trust.
• Engage in activity validation with clinicians and act as a point of contact for coding queries.
• Receive training support from the coding team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexible working hours after onboarding; both full-time and part-time considered.
