Job summary

Monmouth Partners is seeking ACC-qualified clinical coders for remote roles across England with some time in the London office. You will perform NHS Trust coding (OPCS/ICD-10) remotely, support the Clinical Coding Automation Tool, and participate in a QA-driven professional development program.

We back ACC qualification where needed and offer opportunities to contribute to the Monmouth Coding Academy and related projects, in a collaborative, high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • ACC status required (or in process to achieve).
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional London-based meetups and on-site opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical coding remotely across NHS Trusts and independent hospitals.
  • Contribute to Monmouth's Clinical Coding Automation Tool development.
  • Engage in varied high-quality coding projects with QA and professional development.
  • Support ACC qualification for eligible candidates.

  • Opportunity 2: Remote, Experienced ACC Clinical Coders (UK) with Coding Automation Support

Monmouth Partners is a UK healthcare advisory, supporting NHS and independent providers, recognised for its high quality clinical coding services. We’re looking for experienced clinical coders who want to deepen their expertise, work across diverse organisations, and grow within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, close-knit team which delivers a variety of clinical coding support to NHS and independent healthcare providers across England. This role will involve remote clinical coding as well as some time in the London office and remotely, supporting the development of Monmouth's Clinical Coding Automation Tool, which is already being piloted in the NHS.

For this role, and due to client requirements, we are only looking for Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status. We will back you to develop at your pace to develop beyond ACC.

Specifically, the role will involve:

  • Clinical coding in line with both internal and external (e.g. national NHS Digital Clinical Classification Service, CCS) standards and requirements
  • Fully remote, full-time, permanent role (London-based annual meetups and on-site work opportunities if appropriate)
  • Remote coding across NHS Trusts and independent hospitals
  • Some time in the London Office and remotely, supporting the development of Monmouth's Clinical Coding Automation Tool, already being piloted in the NHS
  • Exposure to varied, high-quality coding projects
  • Structured professional development and QA programme
  • Support toward ACC qualification if not already achieved
  • Opportunities to help shape our sector-leading Clinical Coding Academy and Coding Automation Tool if desired and appropriate.

(Monmouth Partners has a central London office and in addition to remote coding across England, we provide on-site clinical coding for a number of clients across Central/Greater London).

Candidates will need experience in/a proven track record of:

  • Minimum of two years practical clinical coding experience: to NHS standards for procedures (OPCS) and diagnoses (ICD-10)
  • Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status achieved
  • Team working and a strong grasp of current developments within clinical coding.

The role is full-time and will be remote coding from home. Monmouth also hosts team meetings and staff get togethers throughout the year to support coders to maintain their skills and nurture team working.
