Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting two whole-time Consultants in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. The posts welcome applicants across the spectrum of experience, from recently trained to seasoned specialists.

Appointees will provide anaesthetic services within the Trust and contribute to teaching and quality initiatives. The successful candidates will work under the national consultant contract, with on-call duties and the possibility of site variation across the Trust,

Qualifikationen

• Full GMC registration to practise in the UK.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists or equivalent.
• UK Specialist Register or within 6 months of interview; if UK trained, CCT or within 6 months of award.

Aufgaben

• Provide anaesthetic services for the Trust in conjunction with consultant colleagues.
• Maintain safe, evidence-based practice and pursue quality improvement.
• Contribute to PROUD values and deliver high quality patient care.
• Support junior doctors' training in an outstanding environment.
• Maintain CME/CPD and participate in department audits and QI initiatives.
• Participate in Cardiothoracic on-call rota and work across sites as required.
• Engage in Directorate business planning and resource utilisation.

Ausbildung

MD or PhD

Transoesophageal echocardiography accreditation

FFICM or EDIC

Dual training in Intensive Care Medicine
