University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Brighton is seeking a Clinical Cardiology Research Fellow (ST3+) for a fully funded 2-year post that leads to an MD thesis. The role involves contributing to NIHR cardiology trials, data collection, and teaching of students and junior staff.

The post is based in the CIRU at Royal Sussex County Hospital, with opportunities to co-ordinate multi-centre studies and act as sub-PI on other projects.

Formación

• Basic Medical Degree required.
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Advanced Life Support certificate from Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent.
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent; intercalated BSc or equivalent research training.

Responsabilidades

• Develop project hypothesis, experimental design, ethics submissions.
• Liaise with collaborators and keep detailed records of work.
• Present research at local and international meetings; write publications.
• Register for and complete a medical doctorate degree; supervise teaching and staff.
• Participate in audits or initiate new ones within the department.
