Job summary

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a fully funded 2-year Cardiology clinical research fellow. The post will lead to MD registration and thesis completion, while you contribute to a large NIHR cardiology research portfolio with multi-centre trials.

You will work from the CIRU at Royal Sussex County Hospital as a member of the CIRU research team, acting as a sub-PI on various projects and participating in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and audits

Qualifications

• Fully funded 2-year post leading to registration and completion of an MD thesis.
• Gain experience in a large portfolio and multi-centre trials conducted by NIHR cardiology department.
• Active involvement in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and training of clinical staff.
• Audits participation or initiation of audits.

Responsibilities

• Join the CIRU research team on a project related to the MD study.
• Act as a sub-PI for a variety of other projects and assist in their delivery.
• Contribute to postgraduate and undergraduate teaching as appropriate.
• Participate in audits or start new audits within the department.
