Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Band 3 Receptionist/Administrator in Cardiology, based at Watford General Hospital with cross-site duties.

This role provides administrative support to the Consultant Cardiologists and the outpatient booking team, with full-time or part-time options. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSE (C and above) or equivalent
• AMSPAR
• RSA Stage 3 typewriting, word processing (or equivalent)
• Experience in a similar field
• Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other IT skills
• Knowledge of good practice and system of work within administrative field.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace
• Understanding of confidentiality/data protection issues
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
• Knowledge of NHS policies
• Knowledge of 18 week pathway process.
• Knowledge of Specialty Range of work procedures and practices; base level of theoretical knowledge
• Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems, some non-routine activities

• Able to support the outpatient booking team
