Job summary

Spire Manchester Hospital is seeking a Band 5 Cardiac Nurse to join the cardiac outpatients team in Manchester. The post offers a full-time, permanent contract with a supportive, expanding environment and a broad range of cardiology services.

You will undertake pre-assessment for CABG/valve surgery, support clinics and diagnostic testing, and contribute to heart failure management with medication titration guidance. A focus on patient care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with 4+ years in acute settings.
• Phlebotomy competency.
• ECG rhythm recognition.
• ALS/ILS provider.

Responsibilities

• Pre-assessment of patients for cardiac surgery (CABG/Valve) and interventional procedures including angiogram/PCI and ablation.
• Run cardiology clinics and support consultants during cardiac diagnostic testing (e.g., dobutamine stress echo/bike stress echo).
• Care of patients in heart failure clinic with medication advice and titration.
• Plan and ensure smooth running of cardiology clinics in absence of cardiac lead nurse.
• Support with Stress ECGs and Stress Echocardiograms.

Spire Manchester are now looking for a Cardiac Nurse to join their warm and friendly team

Duties and responsibilities:

• The pre-assessment of patients for cardiac surgery (CABG and Valve surgery) and cardiac intervention, including angiogram / PCI and ablation
• Responsible for running cardiology clinics and supporting consultants during cardiac diagnostic testing such as dobutamine stress echo / bike stress echo.
• Care of patients in a Heart failure clinic with advice and titration of medications
• Planning and smooth running of the cardiology clinics in the absence of the cardiac lead nurse
• Supporting with Stress ECGs, Stress Echocardiograms

Who we're looking for:

• RGN with a minimum of 4 years exp in an acute setting.
• Phlebotomy
• ECG / rhythm recognition and advantage though training will be provided.
• ALS / ILS provider
