Job summary

Lanes Group plc is recruiting a vacuum tanker operator in Cardiff to independently operate a vacuum tanker and collect, transport, and dispose of non-hazardous liquid waste across Wales. You will support drainage and remediation projects, move waste products, and maintain accurate electronic records, conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting safety concerns.

The role includes 47.5 hours per week at £15.50 per hour, with overtime paid at time-and-a-quarter on weekdays and time-and-a-half

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Desirable CPC qualification.
• Experience with tankers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Independently driving and operating a vacuum tanker, the work involves tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities.
• Work projects will include drainage related issues.
• Moving treated and untreated waste products, assisting with remedial works.
• Liaising with customers.
• Updating electronic records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
• Vehicle and jetting equipment checks.
• A phone will outline the navigation for the routes and jobs whilst working.
