Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking a Plant Operator to safely run and maintain the Anaerobic Digestion facility in Cardiff East. You will receive food waste feedstock, operate a computerised process system and help keep site assets in compliance with permits and standards.

You will contribute to daily data entry, perform routine maintenance, and participate in standby rotas with a valid driving licence. This permanent role offers a market-rate salary (£28,065–£31,887) and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Operational experience on process plant is essential.
• Good practical understanding of health and safety in industrial settings.
• Able to use basic data entry, spreadsheets and emails.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the AD facility safely on a day-to-day basis.
• Receive food waste deliveries and manage site documents.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and visitors as needed.
• Conduct plant process sampling and review data for trends.
• Assist with first-line maintenance and housekeeping of assets.
