Job summary

Biogen (UK) Ltd in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Plant Operator to assist in the safe operation of the Anaerobic Digestion plant. The role covers intake, sorting and loading of food waste, plus routine checks and maintenance as part of a team.

The position requires adherence to health and safety regulations; Biogen provides training and development. A driving licence is ideal; telehandler certification is a plus, but training is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in Waste Management or related industry is preferred.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with weekend rota.
• Training provided for role, emphasis on health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist intake, sorting and loading of food waste on site.
• Support routine checks and maintenance of the AD plant.
• Follow health & safety and environmental regulations; maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Work as part of a team operating the site; comply with HSE and Environment Agency regulations.
