Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Unit at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The role supports the patient care team with basic care tasks and may serve as a health unit coordinator as needed.

The position is part-time with variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. CNA and BLS are required, along with basic computer literacy and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Colorado.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, hydration, ambulation and comfort.
• Report and record patient care findings promptly; notify changes in condition.
• May monitor patients and perform telemetry duties; collaborate with care team.
• Transport medications to RN on the unit as required.
• Assist with health unit coordinator tasks as needed: phones, orders, unit records.
• Follow plan of care as delegated and maintain safety protocols.
