• Essential criteria: Current NMC registration.
• Desirable criteria: Undertaking or completed further academic study; Relevant specialist course.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of patient care.
• Co-ordinate the team in absence of the team leader or ward manager.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient records and high standards of nursing documentation.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and training evaluations.
• Teach programmes for student nurses/new staff and contribute to a learning environment.
