Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for the Cardiovascular Department. This onsite, part-time role supports physicians with diagnostic ultrasound and patient-focused care in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires ARDMS credentials or eligibility within 18 months, BLS, and a commitment to safety. Two years of relevant experience is preferred. Onsite hours and duties align with the offer letter.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or ARDMS accepted experience.
• Current BLS certification and ARDMS or eligibility within 18 months.
• Cardiac Sonographer registrations (RDCS or RCS) or near-term equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams to produce clear images for evaluation.
• Monitor patient conditions during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Analyze ultrasound findings and document in patient records accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to review results and support decisions.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure safety procedures.
• Support our safety-focused culture and assist with other duties as assigned.
