Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a part-time cardiac rehabilitation practitioner for a one-year fixed-term post. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering exercise sessions to patients recovering from cardiac events, living with heart failure, or after procedures.

Sessions run in community venues, at home, and online. Applicants must hold Level 2 and 3 exercise instructor qualifications and be a member of BACPR, CIMSPA, or BASES.

Qualifications

• Level 2 and 3 Exercise Instructor qualifications are essential.
• Membership of BACPR, CIMSPA or BASES is required.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cardiac rehabilitation exercise sessions to patients.
• Carry out a range of exercise assessments.
• Deliver sessions in face-to-face, virtual and home-based formats.
• Independently progress treatment programmes within guidelines.
• Support day-to-day running of the service.
• Contribute to the general running and administration of the service.
• Work under the direction of the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in training and service improvements.
