Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Cardiac Physiologist for Wexham Park Hospital to support a wide range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations within a progressive cardiology department.

You will perform 12-lead ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, ETT, and contribute to catheterisation laboratory work while developing your skills and pursuing BHRS accreditation within a supportive, CPD-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent.
• Registration to appropriate body or evidence of eligibility.
• ILS (Immediate Life Support).

Responsibilities

• Complete non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations autonomously within training.
• Independently perform 12-lead ECGs, fit ambulatory monitors, interpret results, and report.
• Lead exercise tolerance testing (ETT) with patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Support cardiac catheterisation lab activities including haemodynamic monitoring.
• Develop skills in interventional techniques such as IVUS, PWS, OCT and Shockwave.
• Participate in emergencies and the PPCI on-call rota as required.
