Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust's Frimley Park Hospital is recruiting a Band 5 Cardiac Physiologist to join a forward‑thinking Cardiology Department delivering a broad programme of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, ETT, echocardiography, and catheterisation support.

You will develop your clinical skills, contribute to a 24/7 PPCI on-call service, and work toward BHRS accreditation within a supportive, CPD‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills.
• Awareness of national guidelines in cardiology/cardiac physiology.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use initiative and problem-solve; work unsupervised where appropriate.

Responsabilités

• Complete relevant competencies to undertake non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations autonomously.
• Independently perform 12-lead ECGs, fit ambulatory monitors, analyse results and produce reports.
• Lead exercise tolerance testing (ETT) with patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Support cardiac catheterisation laboratory with haemodynamic monitoring and physiologist support.
• Develop skills in IVUS, PWS, OCT and intravascular lithotripsy (Shockwave).
• Participate in emergencies and cardiac arrests within role scope.
• Join PPCI on-call rota and 24/7 service support.
• Maintain professional competence via CPD and adherence to guidelines.
