Job summary

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 radiographer with specialist cardiac radiography skills to join the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. You will provide expert radiological services during invasive procedures, ensuring diagnostic image quality and patient safety.

Working in a multidisciplinary team within a sterile environment, you will manage patient and equipment positioning, image acquisition and archiving, and contribute to rapid, accurate projections while minimising

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of adult cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to operate radiographic equipment in high-pressure procedures.
• Proficient in radiation protection and dose optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out clinical duties during cardiac invasive procedures.
• Position patients and equipment, acquire and archive radiographic images.
• Advise on equipment selection (catheters, guide wires) to facilitate procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety for patient, operator and staff.
• Support training and supervision of junior colleagues.
