Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a CV Invasive Specialist I at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The position involves assisting in cardiac catheterization, with a 36-hour work week across four 9-hour shifts and on-call obligations during nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will support invasive, diagnostic and interventional procedures, manage supplies, document hemodynamics, and participate in patient education in a collaborative cath lab team.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• PALS for children’s hospitals or ACLS for adults; within 3 months of start.
• Health science education with relevant clinical experience.
• State license where applicable and surgical tech certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure room and assist in post-procedure turnaround.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies; assist in inventory control.
• Provide patient education and emotional support; promote teamwork with physicians.
• Assess patient condition and inform physician of deviations during procedures.
• Operate and demonstrate imaging equipment safety; assist with x-ray and fluoroscopy basics.
• May mix and administer medications under physician supervision.
• Close access sites, apply pressure for hemostasis, and document procedure events.
• Document procedures, process imaging studies, and meet registry requirements.

Surgical Tech/Assistant Certification (state requirements)

Rad Tech state license per state requirements (Montana)
