Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Product Owner to join the Card Acceptance team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will work closely with product management and stakeholders to translate strategy into deliverable features and ensure outcomes align with ROI and customer value.

You will own end-to-end product refinements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in Agile ceremonies to drive timely releases and clear acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Software development environment experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience refining epics/features, writing and prioritizing user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
• Experience creating detailed specifications and user/training guides.
• Ability to understand multiple user journeys and regional requirements.
• Understanding of APIs and their lifecycle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to understand strategy and opportunities.
• Act as product ambassador and design with stakeholder input.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide business direction with a customer-first mindset.
• Assist Product Management with design and delivery of new features and enhancements.
• Refine features, provide specs and data mappings for user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize backlog items and maintain Jira at high quality.
• Demonstrate work regularly to stakeholders for feedback and sign-off.
• Plan product releases with cross-functional teams.
• Provide updates on milestones and escalate risks as needed.
• Own changes end-to-end from investigation to handover to BAU.
• Produce specifications and training guides as necessary.
• Other related duties as needed.
