ALSTOM Gruppe seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead Carbody design and structural calculations for a state‑of‑the‑art rail project. You will coordinate with production, procurement, and supplier quality to ensure quality, cost, and delivery of engineering scope.

You’ll report to the Carbody & Structures Domain Leader, Derby and work alongside the carbody designers, structural engineers, mechanical architecture, integration, systems, production and procurement teammates.You'll manage the Carbody & Structures worksteams on a major development project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business to ensure Quality, Cost and Delivery of engineering scope with collaborative working and by supporting the team in the resolution of issues.
You’ll specifically take care of the design of the carbody design and the structural calculations on a state of the art train development project.
