Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking Car Drivers for port operations in Southampton. You will move new cars safely around the port, operate within compounds, and maneuver cars and vans in tight spaces. Day and night shifts are available, with emphasis on reliability, safety, and punctuality.

The role involves basic PDI tasks and adhering to strict safety procedures in a busy automotive logistics setting. Temporary, long-term work with varied hours.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence held for at least 1 year.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Confidence driving and manoeuvring cars and vans.
• A reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
• Previous port, compound, driving or vehicle-handling experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Driving and manoeuvring cars and vans in tight spaces
• Carrying out basic PDI-related tasks, including removing minor scratches and polishing vehicles
• Following site procedures and maintaining high standards of safety at all times

Immediate start

Based in Southampton

Day Shift 06.00 to 16.00 £12.71 per hour

Night Shift 21.30 to 06.00 £14.25 per hour

We are looking for reliable and confident Car Drivers to support operations at the port of Southampton. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy practical, hands-on work and are comfortable driving a range of vehicles in a busy port environment.

The role

Working as part of the vehicle operations team, you will be responsible for moving new cars safely and efficiently around the port.

• Moving new vehicles between compounds and designated locations
• Driving and manoeuvring cars and vans in tight spaces
• Carrying out basic PDI-related tasks, including removing minor scratches and polishing vehicles
• Following site procedures and maintaining high standards of safety at all times

What we're looking for

• A full UK driving licence held for at least 1 year
