Job summary

NHS Fife invites applications for a Band 6 Business Accountant (Capital / Property & Infrastructure). You will provide financial support, analysis and advice to budget holders and managers, with responsibility for capital investment and the financial management of Property & Infrastructure services.

Working in the Financial Management Team, you will collaborate with operational managers, clinicians and project teams to support informed decision-making and delivery of organisational objectives.

Qualifications

• HND in Accounting or related subject, or significant demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Part-qualified towards CCAB-recognised body (CCAB/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in capital/management accounting within a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed financial information and advice to capital investment project teams and stakeholders.
• Support annual, 5-year and 10-year capital expenditure planning and monitoring.
• Produce capital monitoring information and assist with reporting to boards and committees.
• Assist depreciation estimates and capital asset elements of annual accounts.
• Co-ordinate financial management for designated projects within funding limits.
• Manage capital assets on the asset register and generate capital charges.
• Monitor capital cash flow and ensure compliance with standing financial procedures.
• Prepare timely financial reports for Property & Infrastructure services.
• Support budget holders to understand performance, forecasts, risks and corrective actions.
• Contribute to financial recovery, efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
