Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a capable Programme Manager to lead the delivery of its capital projects portfolio. You will guide complex programmes from feasibility through handover, ensuring governance and value for communities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering medium to large value contracts.
• Proven ability to lead public-facing projects with high community and political interest.
• Degree or equivalent in a related professional discipline.
• Experience mentoring and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of significant capital projects and programmes.
• Design, build and manage programme delivery environments across life-cycle stages.
• Lead procurement and management of capital works contracts and service contracts.
• Manage external and internal stakeholders including funding bodies.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing project and programme management team.
