Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd in Workington is seeking an experienced Programme Manager (Construction) to oversee multiple civil engineering projects from concept through to handover.

You will provide leadership across design, procurement, construction and commissioning, manage cost, schedule, risk and compliance, and collaborate with clients, regulators and the supply chain to deliver nationally significant infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple civil engineering projects within a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of project controls including cost, schedule and risk
• Proven leadership and people-management capabilities
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and regulators
• Knowledge of governance, quality and safety requirements in regulated industries

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Projects in planning, coordination and delivery of multiple civil engineering projects
• Provide programme-level oversight of scope, schedule, cost, risk and performance
• Ensure integration of design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
• Lead delivery from inception to handover and post-project review
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as required
• Lead complex civils packages including groundworks and structures
• Ensure compliance with technical specs and safety requirements
• Manage risk registers and assurance activities
• Prepare and present progress reports and forecasts to senior stakeholders
• Act as interface between project teams, clients, regulators and supply chain
• Support stakeholder engagement and resource planning
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cost performance across programmes
• Support change management and commercial activities
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers and Engineers
• Promote continuous improvement and best practice across teams
• Support employee engagement and foster a positive culture
