The role covers negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, credit support docs, and trade confirmations, alongside handling repurchase and securities-lending master agreements. Hybrid work arrangement in London, full-time employment with generous benefits.

Qualificações

• Qualified in England and Wales with common-law experience.
• Ideally 3-5 years' derivatives PQE; strong candidates outside this range considered.
• Experience negotiating English and New York law ISDA agreements.
• Familiarity with repurchase and securities-lending master agreements.

Alexander Chapman is representing an international financial services organization seeking a Derivatives Counsel to join its legal team in London.

This hands-on position supports institutional trading across traditional financial markets and digital assets, partnering with trading, risk, compliance and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, credit support documentation and trade confirmations.
• Document OTC swaps, options and forwards across asset classes.
• Support prime brokerage, custody, collateral and clearing arrangements.
• Lead negotiations with institutional counterparties and external counsel.
• Assess cross-border derivatives regulatory requirements and provide commercially focused advice.

Qualifications

• Qualified in England and Wales, or an equivalent common-law jurisdiction.
• Ideally 3-5 years' derivatives PQE; strong candidates outside this range considered.
• Experience negotiating English and New York law ISDA agreements and related credit support documents.
• Familiarity with repurchase and securities-lending master agreements.
• Prime brokerage, custody or clearing experience highly desirable.
• Training at a leading international law firm strongly preferred; subsequent in-house experience welcomed.
• Strong judgement, communication and ability to manage negotiations independently.
