Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Capital Accountant to manage capital and VAT reporting, ensuring timely monthly and quarterly accounting and robust governance.

You will prepare capital schedules for quarterly monitoring, support year-end accounts, coordinate with internal and external audit, and contribute to the Annual Report while promoting accurate financial reporting across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in capital accounting and VAT reporting.
• Ability to produce schedules for statutory returns.
• Strong collaboration with audits and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete capital schedules for quarterly monitoring returns and year end accounts.
• Prepare monthly VAT returns for HMRC reviews.
• Complete schedules for inclusion in the monthly Board Report.
• Provide financial advice on capital and VAT matters and advise on policy changes.
• Maintain robust, compliant capital accounting across ledgers and departments.
