Job summary

GTAccess Ltd. is seeking an experienced CAP Engineer to join our engineering team at Bromsgrove. The role focuses on maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of powered access equipment to ensure safety and compliance for hire.

Desirable CAP/IPAF qualifications are welcomed. You will work both independently and within a team, with opportunities for ongoing training and career progression in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Experience working on powered access equipment or similar machinery.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
• Good mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Attention to detail and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on powered access equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and control faults.
• Complete LOLER and CAP inspections where qualified.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Support depot operations to maximise fleet availability and customer satisfaction.
• Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

The Role

As a Powered Access Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing our modern fleet of powered access equipment, ensuring machines are safe, compliant, and ready for hire.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on powered access equipment
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and control system faults
• Completing LOLER and CAP inspections where qualified
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
• Supporting depot operations to maximise fleet availability and customer satisfaction
• Working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team

About You

Essential Requirements

• Experience working on powered access equipment, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, or similar equipment
• Strong electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills

• Positive, professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
