Job summary

St Ermin’s Hotel Group is seeking a Canteen Attendant for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 4pm-8pm, in London. You will help maintain a clean and efficient staff canteen and support meal preparation under the canteen chef.

This role offers a supportive hospitality environment with opportunities to contribute to high-quality guest service and a positive team culture, including meals and access to staff facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality is preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• Organised and able to work across Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for meals (vegetables, fruits, meats).
• Cook a variety of dishes following recipes from the canteen chef.
• Ensure sanitation, hygiene, health and safety compliance.
• Assist in preparation of beverages (hot and cold).
• Assist in cooking and food preparation.
• Assist in quality management of food and beverages.
• Assist kitchen team as directed.
• Set example for colleagues in commitment and work ethic.
• Use resources responsibly and help control costs.
• Adhere to organisation policies and procedures.

We are looking for a organisedCanteen Attendant to join the team here at St Ermin’s Hotel, working 20 hours across Monday to Friday, 4pm-8pm.

As a Canteen Weekend Attendant you will ensure to maintain the cleanliness of the canteen at all times, this includes floors, walls, tables, chairs, service counters, drinks machines, kitchen area, wash up area, cutlery and crockery.

What will you be doing?

• prepare ingredients for meals, including chopping, slicing, peeling, and washing vegetables, fruits, and meats.
• cook a variety of dishes, such as soups, stews, curries, stir-fries, and main courses, following recipes or instructions from the canteen chef.
• ensuring compliance with sanitation, hygiene, health and safety legislation and organisational and quality requirements.
• assist in the preparation of beverages, both hot and cold.
• assist in the preparation and cooking of food.
• assist in the quality management of food and beverages.
• assist generally in the kitchen as directed.
• help set an example for other kitchen team members of commitment, work ethic and habits and personal character.
• responsibly use resources and help control expenses.
• adhere to all organisation policies and procedures.
