Working within an industry-leading organisation at Finning, the world's largest CAT dealership, your role as Rebuild Repair Engineer will involve carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products and supporting 2nd life overhauls within the Construction Equipment product group.
We seek a highly experienced and motivated individual with strong electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting skills, suited for a large workshop environment, responsible for repair and maintenance of CAT machinery.
Flexibility, organizational and time management skills, excellent attention to detail, work accuracy, numeracy, and quality orientation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Motivated, dynamic, with good planning and organizational capabilities, capable of working under pressure to deadlines. Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, positive attitude, customer focus, and rapport-building ability.
Deep understanding of service manuals, computerised Service Information Systems (SIS), tooling, specialised equipment, rigging, slinging, jacking procedures, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fitting knowledge.
Adhere to job times, ensure high-quality machine finishes, maintain machine availability, and uphold SHEQ standards with a tidy, safe working environment.
Preferably with a background in materials handling, either apprentice-trained or with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar industry. A reach truck license is required. Practical experience with construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting on large machines.
