Job summary

You will provide safe, compassionate and comprehensive support, advice and information for patients undergoing cancer treatment, their families and friends, acting as a key point of contact throughout the cancer journey.

The role involves working on an annualised hours basis with flexible core hours and additional hours rotated annually, with a focus on improving patient experience,

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate and comprehensive support, advice and information for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
• Act as a key point of contact helping patients access guidance and resources throughout their cancer journey.
• Coordinate pre- and post-treatment sessions and health & wellbeing initiatives.
• Oversee training for staff and volunteers and supervise centre volunteers.
• Maintain data collection for Cancer Support and Information Services.
• Identify when patients need referral to health care team and liaise with clinical staff.
